Makeup How Tos: Class and Party looks

Shannah (left) and Tara (right). Our finished makeover looks!

If you like us on Facebook, you may remember us talking about going to an Eye-scream Social hosted by MaryKay Director Faye Shaw-Jenkins. While there, we got skin care advice, ate loads of ice cream, and of course got makeovers! We learned how to different looks for when you're running late and when you're ready for a night out on the town.
Keep reading to figure out how you can recreate these looks on your own!

Look One: Dash- N- Go

This look is the go to beauty routine when you only have a few minutes to get ready. This is the perfect routine to use when you're running late for class, but want to have a little coverage.
After you've cleansed and moisturized your face, prepare the look by applying a face primer.
Use a mineral foundation over the face for coverage. Next, use eyeliner and mascara to let the eyes stand out.
Now my face looks even and smooth -it looks like I'm not even wearing makeup! We added a pop of color to this look by using a colored lip gloss, as seen in the above picture. Now I'm ready to take on another day in class.

Look 2: Bold and Beautiful

Use this look for a fun night out with the girls or a party.

First, apply primer, then foundation.
Use clear lip liner to prep for the bright red. Don't use anything too dark or tinted, because it will take away the intensity of the color. Next comes the eyes.

To create Shannah's look, we used MaryKay eye shadows in Truffle on the lower lid, Amber Glaze for the middle, and Gold Coast for the top. Sweet Plum was used as a highlighter to make the eyes standout more. Next we added liquid eyeliner to the top lash and Amber Blaze eyeshadow on the bottom lash. To finish off the look we added a tinted lip gloss to her lips called Rockin Red before setting the look with mineral powder. Now Shannah's ready for a night out on the town!

Hope you enjoyed the looks, and look forward to more in the future!
