The Students' Lifestyle

FYI: The dress is white and gold!

First I want to apologize for not blogging often. I'm well aware that the blog hasn't been updated in almost two months. I literally shut down during those past two months. It took a leave of absence for me to realize how much the blog is love. Special thanks to all the new followers we've received on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest  during our absence. After sipping my tea and  processing what's been going on in the world lately, it's time to review  all that I should have done during the two month leave.

Financial aid can be a little tricky manner to maneuver. I know because I worked at my school's financial aid office helping students get answers about financial aid. So whether you're an incoming freshman, a senior looking for a little bit of help, or anywhere in between, this little rundown will help answer your basic questions about financial aid.

The number one thing you need to know about financial aid is the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid, or the  FAFSA. This is the application that can can be filled out online or through the mail to apply for the Federal Pell Grant, Unsubsized Stafford Loans, and Subsidized Stafford Loans. You can learn the difference about each below.
Note: If filling out online, make sure that the website is www.fafsa.ed.gov

Grants

Grants are basically free money and you do not have to pay these back. The one that most college students know of is the Federal Pell Grant, which is awarded to students when they apply for federal aid and is based on income. By filling out the FAFSA, your school can also match you up with other grants based on your income.

Every girl needs a black dress in her closet. I will admit I'm one of the few girls who lack a black dress, but that change after I purchase a black lace dress from eShakti. eShakti is an online woman's fashion company that offers sizes 0-36W and custom clothing. When I purchase my dress I selected my measurements and, the shipping only took a few days. I was happy the dress arrived before Thanksgiving.  My family and friends loved the dress, which brighten my Thanksgiving. The dress is made with lace material and lately  I've been obsessed with dresses made with lace. A dress is not the only thing you can purchase from eShakti.com, on the site there are gorgeous skirts, jackets and shirts to choose.

Shannah wrote about Swagbucks and how it can save you money with giftcards, and this is just a little follow up on how I have been using it. And no, this is not a sponsored post, just a little insight to a program that we have both benefited from.

Imagine your professor decides to cancel class for the first time in the semester. You feel excited because maybe you can sleep in later, or go home earlier. Now, imagine if that same professor teaches two of your classes. You guess it, you now have two cancelled classes. You are even more excited by the thought of doing nothing. All of sudden, your professor cancel classes for two weeks. For two weeks you only have two classes to go to, both are easy classes. Then reality starts to sit in, you realize that there is nothing to do. You've done all the things you needed to do from sleeping in, going home early, and staying up late watching shows on Netflix. This very thing happen to me. I was so happy about the cancelled classes, but I soon became bored. Here are some of the things I've done during this boring time.
