Swagbucks update

Shannah wrote about Swagbucks and how it can save you money with giftcards, and this is just a little follow up on how I have been using it. And no, this is not a sponsored post, just a little insight to a program that we have both benefited from.
Just as a reminder, Swagbucks is an online website that lets you trade in watch videos, play games, take surveys and more to earn swagbucks. One swagbuck is equivalent to $.01, and you can trade them in for giftcards to Wal-Mart, Target, Amazon, Paypal, and more.
I have used my earned points mainly on Wal-Mart gift cards to help with grocery shopping, restocking on toilet paper, and gas. I have a few Amazon gift cards that I am stockpiling as well to go towards a new digital camera for Christmas.
The easiest way I earn Swagbucks is by running apps such as SwagbucksTV and EntertainNOW on my phone. By doing these apps, as well as Encrave, and nGage on the website, I can usually earn a dollar or two a day. Surveys are really where the big money is, but I usually cannot stay still to finish many. I didn't really have any real plans for my Swagbucks, but I think I'll be stocking up points to get money to help go towards bills and my camera. I don't have enough time to earn enough points to cover Christmas shopping this year, but I am hoping it will take a little burden off my load. or at least pay my portion of the phone bill.
So far it's been a good investment for me, and it may be for you as well. If you don't like any of the store options, you can always use your points to redeem Paypal giftcards or Visa Gift Cards. Paypal giftcards go to your Paypal account and can be transferred to your bank, so you can have extra money you can buy whatever you want. Visa gift cards can only be used online, but I have heard of some people using it to pay some bills. If you want to sign up, you can use my referral link here and try it out for yourself (I do get more points for referrals, fyi).
What apps have you been using to earn extra money or cover expenses? Do you think it's worth it?
