2NE1 has released a new single called I Love You which is now available on iTunes for purchase. The song is reportedly making headway on online charts gaining an all kill on Melon and reportedly reaching number two on American iTune charts. The new single is turn from 2NE1's previous work, but I'm guessing that YG has finally seen that it's time for the girls to switch it up.

"I Love You" is a turn from their past singles such as "I am the Best" or "Ugly" which played on heavy bass, and fit into the pop sector. The song is more techno and is switches up the instrumentals through out the song. It sounds a whole lot better than I would have imagined based on the teaser videos YG has thrown out to us. The lyrics are also a turn for the group, who usually sing of love lost or being unapproachable like their singles "Lonely", "Hate YOu", and "I Am the Best", the girls allow themselves to be more vulnerable in this track. They sing about waiting for their lover to call and wonder about where he is and what he is doing.

 Along with the new sound comes a new look. As you can tell from the above photo, Dara is channeling Cassie(resisting all temptations to actually compare the two vocally). Minzy is still rocking the bob, but has ditched the purple for a warm brown. Loving that she's back to a more natural looking color, but I'm not loving that her hair falls at her chin like that. Cl and Bom haven't changed their style up that much, but I'm curious to see their fashion in the video. Oh well, can't wait to see the video. Lyrics to the song are below, enjoy until tomorrow!
