My Year in Review 2013

9:18 PM

t's hard to believe that this year is almost over! A lot has happened in the past few months, but I wanted to write about the moments that stood out for me. Here are my highlights from 2013.

I am happy with the progress we made this year with our blog. We were accepted into the Her Campus Blogger Network and joined other blogging networks such as Southern Girl Blogging Community and  20 Something Bloggers. We've been able to connect with lots of great bloggers and have had lots of amazing opportunities introduced to us because of them. We love our fellow bloggers and can't wait to see what's in store for us all in 2014!

I joined my school's newspaper and got to have a section that I'm in charge of. It's just a soft article asking about opinions, but also got a hard article in the paper this year as well. I'll have a little bit more free time next semester and will hopefully be able to write more articles for the paper.

This year I took the summer semester off and took a trip up north with my best friend and her family. It was awesome visiting big cities like Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and D.C.. I really enjoyed myself and the people aren't as rude as the TV makes them look.

Just before that I rode down to Mississippi to my meet my boyfriend's dad and family. It was really great to take a road trip with my boyfriend and get to meet more of his family. They are super laid back, but surprised me when some of them asked when was I officially going to join the family (lots of awkward fumbling and smiling from my end) but other than that it was good.

What where your highlights of this year?
