Sam Smith is one of my favorite artists at the moment. I'm sad that his popularity is growing because I want to keep his genius to myself. I know I sound pretty selfish, but I think I deserve some brownie points for promoting him before he became known in America. His song "I'm Not the Only One" has so much soul in it. Maybe I've been watching the James Brown movie trailer too much, but that kind of soul goes in the Mr. Brown hall of fame. I swear I can see Beyonce' or Mary J. Blidge singing this song. Especially Sasha Fierce Beyonce. I really like the chorus of the song the most. Enjoy it for yourself.
When I first discovered Jessie Ware I wanted to blog about her instantly. The only problem, her song "Wildest Moments" was too old to do a blog spotlight on. So I had to wait patiently until she release newer music to talk about her awesomeness. Although I did feel special when I heard "Wildest Moments" play on Iyanla Fix My Life commercial and on Being Mary Jane. "Tough Love" is a sweet tune. I'm glad that she's sticking with the R&B sound because it really suits her. Jessie Ware will take you back to Sade. In fact I remember reading a comment saying she sounds like Sade 2.0. The beat of the song reminds me of a Prince 80's music production. The song will be feature on her sophomore album Tough Love.
Tell me your thoughts of the song in the comment section
Just a reminder to our PLL fans, tomorrow at 8/7ct on ABC Family a new Halloween episode will air. Like many of the previous seasons, you can expect the usually chaos. I'm pretty sure A will not be reveal, but someone does die in this episode and singer Adam Lambert will make an appearance. Tune in to see.
Attention to our viewers: If you can give a full explanation of the video below "Rainbow" by Danish singer Oh Land I will truly appreciate it. I really like Oh Land because her music is like no other, and her live performances are the best. Her songs are great, but her videos are kinda creepy and weird. The video below is called "Rainbow." This is the first song I've ever heard from her and I loved her music since. Tells us what you think:
As stated before, we will show scary videos this month. The latest video is called "Red Lips" by Sky Ferreira. In the video, she's only wearing her under garments, which makes her look like a Victoria Secret model for a Halloween commercial. If you are afraid of spiders, I urge you not to watch this video.
Since Halloween is in October, I decided to show you all a few creepy videos this month. Lykke Li is a weird artist. She makes Lady Gaga look normal. The song "I'm Good, I'm Gone" is a a good song, but the video is just out there. Check her for yourself.
Although he's my bias in the group, I have never been much of a fan of GD's solo work. Don't get me wrong, he's a great song writer, rapper, producer, and an amazing artist. He loves to go outside of the box with his music, but sometimes it doesn't hit the mark to me. I only liked a few tracks from Heartbreaker and skipped his solo parts on the GD&Top album. So when his second single That XX was released, I was preparing myself for the worst. But this song is perfect.
I was pretty harsh in a previous post She Just Not That Into You, so I found a video that may help guys get the girl they want. If you are a guy and afraid to ask a girl out here are a few tips to help you gain confidence when asking her out. Remember no girl is out of your league. Sounds cliche' but believe in yourself and you may get the girl you want.
