Time to talk about the P word. Our period is something we wish we could live without, but sadly we're stuck with it. One thing a guy will never understand is what women go through during the time of the month. Last year in college I was so lucky because my period always came on during the weekend. I know some of you think of that as a bad thing, but I'd rather my period come on during the weekend while I'm at home than come on while I'm in the middle of a presentation or on a Monday. One of my worst period moments was two years ago.
Prepare before hand
This means getting all your class work and books together the day before to avoid a scramble in the morning. This way you won't forget to bring things like pens, paper, or that essay that's due today. This also means showering and getting your look ready the day before if you need to.

Eat breakfast
You will feel so much better and more energized when you actually feed your body in the morning. Since I am not a big breakfast fan, I usually go for something light like yogurt, fruit, or hot hashbrowns and eggs.

Do your homework the night before
I know there are other procrastinators like me out there. I would always do homework assignments right before class, but that changed with my morning classes. You can't exactly do a book summary for your 10 AM class when you only woke up at 9:45. Well you could, but it'd be pretty crappy. So finish all your assignments before the day of class

Change your sleeping habits
I don't really like this one, but it is true. Going to sleep earlier means you will most likely wake up earlier. This will give you more time and energy for class. So you won't be snoozing during lecture, no matter how boring it is.
Time is the Essence
Most of my morning teachers happened to bejerks really strict and wanted to give quizzes at the beginning of class. So coming in five minutes late everyday meant your grade was being affected. Show your teachers you care and get your money's worth my going to class on time. It will really help your grades and your teachers will notice.
Get a friend
Sometimes you can't help but sleep through an AM class or doze off during a lecture. Make sure you have a friend who is taking the class who can catch you up with notes and other important things you may miss in class. You can also check in on each other to make sure you're both o top of your game and get to school on time.

The heat is rising, meaning it's the perfect time to go out and
stock up on jeans and sweaters. That’s right ladies, this is the
perfect time to go out and grab all those winter sweaters, knits, and jeans if
you haven't already. I'm offering where to look and what to shop for so you'll be
cute and warm when the cold weather comes back in town.
This is the best time to go shopping for your winter and
fall wardrobe because you'll get the best prices for them. Many stores are
desperate to sell their winter clothes to make room for their summer clothes. So
hit those clearance racks up and buy, buy, buy.
We've all made shopping mistakes before, whether it be splurging on a trendy pair of heels we never wore, or just spending way above our limits. We've found some shopping mistakes many people fall into, so you can avoid them.
Buying New Merchandise
One rule that I always follow is to think twice before buying anything that just came in. It may be cute and fresh from the factory, but that same shirt that you're eyeing now will be on sale in a couple of weeks. Unless you just can't live without it, leave it on the rack and wait till it goes down. Or better yet, see if you can spot a similar item for a better price in another store.

Credit card shopping sprees
That 20% off for opening a new card is tempting, but don't let it fool you. Store credit cards carry high interest rates, and they can only be used in that store. The extra percentage off will only drive you to buy more, which will only increase you balance. Not only that, but opening up too many cards can hurt your credit. If you already have a store card, make sure to only use it if you know you can pay it back on time. Don't shop on a rock star wardrobe when you can only afford ramen and water.

This past Monday, the SLS was treated to an Eye scream social by our local Mary Kay director Faye Shaw-Jenkins and her Phenomenal Falcons. The ladies gave us the total package-face massages, makeup tips, makeovers, and ice cream sundaes all in one night! While we'll show you the makeup looks the ladies gave us later this week, we wanted to share some of the beauty advise that Faye and her team gave us about taking care of your skin.
