Sam Smith is one of my favorite artists at the moment. I'm sad that his popularity is growing because I want to keep his genius to myself. I know I sound pretty selfish, but I think I deserve some brownie points for promoting him before he became known in America. His song "I'm Not the Only One" has so much soul in it. Maybe I've been watching the James Brown movie trailer too much, but that kind of soul goes in the Mr. Brown hall of fame. I swear I can see Beyonce' or Mary J. Blidge singing this song. Especially Sasha Fierce Beyonce. I really like the chorus of the song the most. Enjoy it for yourself.
Happy Friday folks! I thought since it's Friday, and we're all happy for the weekend that I will do a music review of Hyuna's "Red." I'm not a fan of the song, but the video is a standout. I got to give it to Hyuna, she may have Popsicle songs, but her music videos are legendary. She always knows how to make a music video that keeps us talking. Side note* I want to to applaud her for improving her live performances. She seems more confident on stage then ever!
Remember when I went on a rant about not finding a summer anthem? I was so upset about not finding the one perfect summer song that I settled for songs in the past. Well I spoken too soon because Sistar "Touch My Body," lifted me from my summer slump. When I first heard the song, I just knew I wouldn't like it, but then the song continued. I slowly started to fall for the song and the video.
I found a new Korean song that I'm obsessed with listening to nonstop. Ladies' Code released the song "Hate You" a week ago. I must say the song was love at first listen. I will admit I haven't been listening to that much K-Pop music especially after watching the trashy video "Wassup" by the the twerkin group Wassup. The song "Wassup"was not that bad, I just couldn't take the video. However, if it wasn't for that trashing video, I would not have discover this awesome song, "Hate You", by Ladies Code. The video reminds me of 2ne1's "It Hurts", but much creepier, mainly because of the weird Barbie Dolls. I really hope Ladies Code become a successful Rookie Group. Enjoy the video.
"We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus has been stuck in my head for a moment. To relieve the stress of the song-bug in my ear, I played the song one more time before I went to bed. I woke up the next morning still singing the tune. What's wrong with me? I saw the trashy video of "We Can't Stop" weeks ago, and the video itself turn me away from the song. Okay- Maybe if I hear the song one last time, I'll be over it for sure. However, I wasn't over the song, I soon realized the terrible revelation. I like the song! But how can I like a song by Miley Cyrus? I'm sure there is some sort of explanation. It's a sad day when I like a trashy dance song that talks about "Molly." Well I have to go, I will listen to "We Can't Stop", one last time... I hope. Save me!
Singer K. Michelle finally gives her fans music to listen to from her. With all the drama she's in on the reality show Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, it may surprise people that K. Michelle actually has pipes. She releases the song "V.S.O.P" (Very Special Other Person). In my honest opinion, I think the song is good, but that's it. It's defiantly an R&B tone with K. Michelle
With all the talk about K-Pop we sometimes forget to spotlight other artist from different countries.

While other girl groups where saying I Love You, the Wonder Girls were teaching their beaus how to love them, just Like Money.
